Carrying on with our celebrity chef themes, this month’s cooking club celebrated recipes of Tyler Florence hosted by Stephanie.
Quite appropriate given that I have tried now 4 times to make a reservation at Florence’s new Wayfare Tavern here in San Francisco to no avail. His recipes will have to do for now!
This wonderful appetizer of Grilled Brie and Tomato on Crusty Bread from Katie http://www.tylerflorence.com/?p=324 almost did not get photographed at all! You see – we had a lot to catch up on, the Emmy’s were on the television, and Stephanie’s adorable daughter Alexia joined us. This lone piece was left when I realized that I had missed the photo opportunity!

This was Stephanie’s first time roasting and carving a chicken. I love cooking club. We each have the opportunity to try new things in a safe and welcoming environment. The chicken was fantastic. So moist and flavorful! Well done Steph!

Stephanie’s daughter, Alexia’s, joined us for Cooking Club for dinner and my how she has grown! Here she is with her very own table setting at Cooking Club. After we left when Stephanie asked Alexia is she had fun with the girls she replied, “Yeah, they were sweet.” Right back at you Alexia. So grown up!
