Putting It Together

I returned from my Texas antiquing trip to the latest issue of Interior Design Magazine.  I have to say, I am so inspired by this latest issue and will be blogging about many items to come.  Great timing as my subscription is up and I wasn’t sure that I would renew but now I am SOLD!

The theme of this month’s issue is “High on New York” and I am delighted by the Brooklyn Bowl project by Tristam Steinberg Design.  They are going for a LEED Silver certification and they have incorporated wonderful industrial elements and vintage amusement items, roulette wheels, and carnival pieces.  I have my own collection of amusement pieces that I’ve acquired on past antiquing trips and I just adore how they used them here.

Such a whimsical nod to the past and when you use vintage and antique items it is green, sustainable design practice.  Bravo!
