Gorgeous Texas Countryside

Home away from home…when we visit the Round Top and Marburger Farms shows we stay at an adorable farmhouse in the area.

It is a historic building, originally a one-room farmhouse built by a German immigrant.  The homeowners added to the homestead as their family grew.  The property is a significant example of early German architecture in Texas.

We feel so fortunate to have found this respite from the shows.  Taking a bath in the clawfoot tub at the end of a hot day of shopping is a highlight for me.  It is so peaceful out there…though it can be a wee bit scary during storms!
