Amazing celebratory dinner last night at The Stonehouse Restaurant at San Ysidro Ranch!
The restaurant is in an old citrus packing house. It has a rustic charm while every detail is executed in an elegant manner. What a great juxtoposition!
The most delightful dish of the evening was the special duck confit salad with watercress, goat cheese, berries, and candied pecans.
I was so inspired by the visuals of organic elements, lavender and herb plants all around, and the phenomenal sunset. Sadly, the colors were enhanced because of the La Brea fire in Santa Maria…lots of ash in the air.
What a wonderful evening. I will remember it forevor.
